How it all started:
Dad Grass got started because of the simple insight that today's weed gets you too damn high! After countless times of leaving the dispensary with confidence that we picked the the right strain, only for it to be a roll of the dice (who likes to spend the night on their couch spinning?!) We wanted a consistent high quality, low potency option out in the world. But since no one seemed to be doing it, we knew we'd have to do it ourselves! Thus, Dad Grass was born.
What is the most important thing you want others to know about your brand
We strive to create the finest hemp products possible, with a commitment to sourcing the highest quality (and regenerative) ingredients possible. We're a bootstrapped & independent business and we love supporting our community (whether it's our retail partners, employees, friends or fans!)
Where is Dad Grass headed next?
We have to be pretty tight-lipped at the moment, but it's going to be a fun fall, that's for sure. Stay tuned!
What inspires Dad Grass to keep creating?
Oh man, so much. We've been absolutely blown away by the response to what we've been doing; whether it's people enjoying Dad (or Mom Grass) as a relaxing pastime, or it helps them with pain/anxiety or simply because they enjoy the vibe, it's all been super positive. That's been incredibly humbling and exciting at the same time. Plus we just love what we're doing! We often say that if you're not having fun creating a weed brand, you're doing something wrong! So that's a bit of a guiding light for us, too.
Name one song or band that embodies your brand:
That's a tough one. I don't really think I could choose one, BUT there's this great line in the Grateful Dead song, Row Jimmy... "Not too fast, and not too slow" which probably captures us as a business and a product pretty well. (PS - May 19, 1977 from the Fox Theater is a particularly amazing version of this song!)
