Artist Feature – Jazzmine Jones of Ultralight Dreams

Tell us a little bit about your vision and what you offer?
Honestly, I can say that I’m really inspired by color. I feel like life can be very dull without color. My hope is to empower women, especially us minorities. I want to do my part to help us work better together and push each other forward.
What is the most important thing you want others to know about you and
I really want the world to know that we all have unique ways to communicate. For me, art is how I feel most comfortable communicating.
What inspires you the most when creating?
I’m deeply inspired by color, landscapes, and nature. But more than anything else, I’m inspired by self-expression. When I see how others truly express themselves, it drives me to want to put that positivity out into the world as well.
What's happening next with ultralight dreams?
The thought of planning and knowing exactly what I’m going to do next makes me nervous for some reason.
What piece of advice would you give those just starting out in your field?
A big thing would be that Self-doubt is a liar. Choose something that feeds your soul and don’t be afraid to use your feelings as fuel for your craft.
Name one song or band that embodies your brand:
-Tayla Parx- Dance Alone is the perfect feel good song I can always listen to while working. But to be honest, Brene Brown has two podcast, Unlocking Us and Dare to lead, that embodies everything Ultralight Dreams strives to become.
Is there anything else you want to add?
To everyone who’s posted a picture, sent an encouraging comment or DM, thank you so much! I get very nervous and overwhelmed sometimes but it always keeps me going during times of doubt. THANK YOU!
